The Silk Wave Pro uses IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology to target melanin in hair follicles. The light energy converts to heat, putting the follicle into dormancy to help reduce regrowth over time. An integrated Ice-Cool Plate cools the skin to help relieve heat sensation and reduce irritation for a more comfortable experience.
- Shave: Shave the area to remove hair on the surface.
- Clean & dry: Ensure skin is completely clean and dry before use.
- Power: Connect the power adapter to an outlet. (This device is not rechargeable; it must be plugged in to operate.)
- Skin test: Run a trial test on a small area first.
- If there are no adverse reactions after 12 hours, you may treat larger areas.
- Start low: Do not start with a high gear—begin at Level 1 and adjust gradually.
- Turn on: Long-press the Power Button to turn on.
- Select intensity: Short-press the Power Button to switch gears.
- Cooling mode: Press the Ice-Cool Button (snowflake icon appears).
- Protect your eyes: Always wear the provided protective goggles.
- Flash correctly: Place the flash window flat (90°) against the skin.
- When the blue sensor light blinks, press the Flash Button to treat the area.
- Auto Mode: Long-press the Flash Button to enter Auto Mode for continuous flashing.
Suitable skin tones: White, Beige, Light Brown, Medium Brown.
Unsuitable skin tones: Dark Brown (use with caution), Dark/Black (do not use).
Effective hair colors: Black, Dark Brown, Brown.
Ineffective hair colors: Red, Light Blonde, White, Gray (melanin is required for IPL to work).
If you’re unsure, perform a patch test and consult a professional.
